Photography Exhibition: Being there!
The reality is not out there — it is right here.
How fast can you work? This is a lightning speed process. From zero to an exhibition in a month!
Allow the viewer to enter your photograph and be there by your side! Be it a landscape, a cityscape, or the interior of your home — the focus of this exhibition is the strong sense of presence.
Are you up to the task of having your photographs exhibited for a month at a prestigious art gallery in the center of Fort Worth Arts District? Having a reception with hundreds of people attending and admiring your artistic talent, or even buying your work of art? In that case — submit your work for consideration! Sixteen selected photographs will be displayed at Fort Worth Community Arts Center for the entire month of February 2011.
Subject: the sense of presence, being there with you.
Submission guildelines:
- Prepare up to three images as JPEG files, quality 8, size under 1500px along the longer side. File name is your name and the sequence number, e.g. john_doe_01.jpg. Do not use special characters other than the underscore.
- Create an email addressed to alex@platophoto.com with “Submission: Being there” in the subject line. In the email you can give titles to your photographs, e.g. john_doe_02 title “Car streaks in front of Colosseum.” State the size of each framed photo. If you wish this photo to be for sale at the exhibition — state the sale price and the edition volume.
- Attach your images to the email and send it off!
- Pay the entry fee using PayPal. The entry fee is $25 for three images. There's no limit on the number of three-image submissions. If you wish to submit another three photographs — repeat the above process.
NOTE: by submitting your work for consideration you declare it to be your original work, for which you own full rights. All rights for your work remain with you, whether it is selected for the exhibition or not.
Exhibition guidelines: all accepted work has to be delivered framed and ready to be professionally installed at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center by January 31, 2011. A 20% commission will be deducted by Fort Worth Community Arts Center for any picture sold during the exhibition.
Important dates:
- Submission deadline — January 4, 2011
- Winners' notification — January 5, 2011
- Accepted work gallery installation— Monday, January 31, 2011
- Reception — Friday, February 4, 2011, 6 to 9 p.m.
- All unsold work is to be collected on Monday, February 28, 2010
